New tech lead? Nail role, delegation, and business impact—fast

Built for engineering and product first-time leads. Short cohort or workshop, practical frameworks, peer group—no generic “leadership theatre.”

No obligation · Practical tools you can use Monday · Peer group included.

Rise is Meridion’s leadership track for technical people stepping into people leadership. Company-level AI and OKRs? That is Ridge or Summit with your executives.

01

Who this is for

You're a tech lead, team lead, or first-time engineering or product manager. You just stepped into leadership. The role feels fuzzy — "Am I still a dev? Am I a manager?" Overwhelm and boundary issues. Delegation is hard; you're either the bottleneck or you feel guilty. Feedback conversations go badly. You don't know how you create business impact; you feel like "just delivery." You want clarity and a peer group — not generic corporate training. You're open to a short, focused program (workshop or cohort) if it's for tech leads and has clear outcomes.

02

The problem

Role is fuzzy

"Am I still a dev? Am I a manager?" Too many responsibilities; no one trained you for "people + tech."

Delegation

Either you're the bottleneck or you feel guilty. Hard conversations get avoided or go badly; no framework.

Business impact

Measured on output, not outcome; don't know how to connect your work to business results. Feel like "just tech."

Overwhelm and boundaries

Can't switch off; risk of burnout. Don't want generic soft-skills training.

03

What you get

Lead foundation — a short program built for tech leads and first-time managers. You get clarity on your role, delegation, and business impact in a format that fits your calendar (e.g. 2 days or a few sessions). Peer group of people in the same transition. Built for engineering and product leaders by people who've been there. Not generic soft-skills.

Role clarity and boundaries

What a tech lead / first-time manager owns — and what to stop doing.

Delegation and feedback basics

Framework and scripts so you're not the bottleneck.

Where you create business impact

Not just "ship features" — connect your work to outcomes.

Peer group

Others in the same boat. You're not alone in the transition.

Format: cohort or workshop (e.g. 2 days or 4–6 sessions). Materials and optional follow-up. You decide next step after you complete.

04

How it works

  • Apply or book a 15-min call

See if Lead foundation fits. No obligation. We'll confirm your level (tech lead / first-time manager) and main challenge.

  • Join

Cohort start or workshop date. Short format — e.g. 2 days or a few sessions. Materials and access.

  • Complete

Clarity on role and boundaries; one or two concrete practices (e.g. delegation framework, feedback script); peer group. Optional: next step is Core accelerator when you're ready for EM-level skills.

What we decide in 15 minutes: Whether Lead foundation fits your situation; which cohort or workshop date works.

05

06

Why engineers recommend Rise

Language that matches how your team actually works.

Role clarity that sticks

Scope

We name what you own, what you delegate, and what you must stop doing so you are not half IC, half manager, fully burned out.

Scripts, not slogans

Practice

Delegation and feedback templates you can reuse in 1:1s and standups—built for engineers who want repeatable habits, not motivational posters.

Credibility with the business

Impact

You learn to connect delivery choices to outcomes your GM and product partner care about—without pretending you suddenly have an MBA.

Questions for tech leads

Format, pricing bands, and how Rise fits with Meridion.

Is Rise only for new tech leads?

Lead foundation targets people who recently stepped into tech lead or first-time manager roles in engineering or product. If you are already operating at senior EM or director level, Core or Premium may be more appropriate—we confirm on a short call.

Apply vs book a call—which first?

Either works. The call is fastest for fit and timing; the application helps if you already know your cohort preference. No obligation either way.

Why is entry pricing listed as TBD?

Foundation pricing applies for early cohorts and may shift as we lock venues and format. The call or application gives the current number for your cohort.

How does Rise relate to Trailhead or Ridge?

Trailhead and Ridge serve founders and executive teams on strategy and AI execution. Rise builds the leadership layer underneath—tech leads and managers who must translate business goals into delivery. Same Meridion standards, different audience.

Will my company pay for this?

Many participants expense Rise as leadership development; some pay personally for speed. We can provide a one-page summary for your manager or HR on request.
